The 5 day Kagulu hiking adventure package starts and ends in Kampala. You will journey through Jinja, the East African adventure city, as you engage in a number of activities. Some of these include zip lining in the famed Mabira forest where you will soar like a free spirited bird on top of this ancient rain forest, bungee jumping on a 44 metre high platform, a full day fishing spree on the Nile plus a boat cruise on the Source of the Nile waters. Your adventure will be wound up by a visit to Buyende district for spectacular rock climbing.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
On arrival, you will be met at the airport by our safari guide who will transfer you to the hotel reserved for you in Kampala. In case you have an early arrival, you will get a chance to tour the capital before settling in at your accommodation for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Jinja via Mabira for Zip Lining
Following your breakfast early that morning, you will be transferred to Jinja, the East African adventure city. There will be a stopover Mabira rainforest, located 57 kms on the Kampala-Jinja highway, for zip lining. The trail you will follow always offers a wild range of wildlife for your optical nutrition. These range from forest birds, butterflies and monkeys to different ancient tree species plus much more. You will be briefed by your guide about the safety precautions undertaken while engaging in the zip lining activity. Thereafter, you will get to the heart of the matter: the zip lines will send you soaring on top of the ancient trees of the forest as you view different tree layers plus dense canopies, along with the aforementioned varieties of wildlife. On your way back to the main road, you will visit the beautiful Griffins falls, then proceed to Jinja for lunch. Later that afternoon, you will go for the white water rafting adventure on the Nile River and as you make your way through the rapids and mesmerizing cascades, your adrenaline will surge at inexpressible levels. This will be followed by your return to your accommodation for dinner plus an overnight stay.
Day 3: Full Day Fishing Spree on the Nile
After breakfast, you will ready yourself for this activity, after which you will be transferred to Source of the Nile for a briefing your guide. To fish, you can either carry your own fishing gear or rent one from the site. The most common fish types to catch include Nile perch, tilapia, yellow fish and catfish. To get your bounty, there are a number of techniques, one or some of which you can employ, which are trawling, spinning and bait fishing. Thereafter, you will retreat for lunch, and then get back on the Nile for the last leg of the day’s activities. Following your day’s sport fishing experience, you will make for your accommodation to dine and wine, then retire for the night.
Day 4: Nile-High Bungee Jumping and Boat Cruise
After breakfast, you will visit the famed source of the Nile for bungee jumping. While undertaking this sport, you leap over the source of the Nile from one of the most spectacular bungee jumping sites in the world. The activity starts with briefing from the site guide on the safety precautions. Kindly note that this activity is recommended for only those who are both mentally and physically fit. The height you will get a feel of is 44 meters, and as you jump, you may opt to do so in any position recommended by the site guide. Down at the stream, a small boat will be waiting for you. You will be set free from the ropes and sailed you back to the shores your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your accommodation for lunch. Later on, you may choose to visit the Nile again, only this time it will be for a 3 hours’ boat cruise. This session will gift you panoramic views of the Nile coupled with an abundance of wildlife that thrives on this majestic water body. The Nile crocodiles, lizards and a variety birdlife are what you will locate on your sightseeing spree. Later on, you will head back to your place of accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Buyende District for the Kagulu Rock Climbing Challenge
After your early morning breakfast, you will be driven to Buyende district in eastern Uganda for the Kagulu rock climbing challenge. The located for this exercise is 106 kms from Jinja town, and it is an approximately 2 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, you will be briefed by the local guide about the safety precautions. While engaging in this challenge, you are which required to be physically fit and of sound mind. It between 30 minutes to 1 hour to reach the top which offers jaw dropping panoramic views of Busoga region, Lake Kyoga and waterfalls tricking from the rock. The other attractions to be viewed on this hike include the caves on foothills of this rock which entail an illustrious history of the early settlers of Bunyoro kingdom. Following your adventure, you will head back to Jinja for lunch, after which you will proceed to Kampala, reaching in the evening.
